How it works

Get the folders ready
Use the folders on your own disk. Coming from another platform? Download your galleries there, usually as a ZIP, and unpack it.
02 ▸
Drop them in
Press “Import folders” on your Galleries page and drop the folder, or use “Choose a folder”. No photo leaves your computer yet.
03 ▸
Check what it becomes
Every gallery with its title, shoot date and scenes. Change a title or date, untick what should stay behind, or switch between “Every folder its own gallery” and “Everything in one gallery”.

Start moving
Press “Start moving” and keep the tab open; your screen stays on while it runs. “Pause” stops it, “Carry on” picks it up again.
05 ▸
Look them over and publish
Your galleries arrive as drafts. Open each one, check it, and publish it when you are ready.

What is in it

Every folder becomes a gallery, folders inside it become scenes

Stopped halfway? Drop it again and it carries on

No lock-in

The reason photographers stay on a platform they have outgrown is the thought of moving. So we built the way out first, and left the door open.

Take everything with you, today
One page in your dashboard, for the owner and admins, after “Confirm it's you”. Every original with a direct link, or a gallery at a time as a ZIP. No queue, no support ticket, no export that arrives by mail three days later.

The original is the original
Your file goes straight to storage from your own browser. It is never re-encoded and nothing is stripped out. What you get back is the same bytes under the same name.

Stop paying and your galleries stay online
Work your clients already have does not go dark because a card expired. The account moves to Free and the limits apply to what you make next.

Downloads that do not queue
A whole wedding starts downloading the moment your client clicks it. No email with a link that expires before they get to it.

How a folder is read

A date at the front or end of a name counts: 2024-06-15, 20240615 or 15-06-2024
When every scene folder is numbered, like “01 Getting ready”, the numbers set the order and are left off
Deeper folders go into their scene; photos loose in the gallery's folder come after the scenes
JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, TIFF and DNG up to 100 MB each; RAW files and videos stay behind

Questions

Which platforms can I move from?

Any platform that lets you download your galleries. Shyreo reads the folders on your computer; it does not sign in to your old platform.

Do my clients' favorites and comments come along?

No. Moving in brings your photos, sorted as your folders were. Favorites, comments and client details stay behind; you add the client in a gallery's settings.

Can I move in on the Free plan?

Yes, within its room: 3 galleries and 2 GB. Shyreo checks what fits before any photo is sent, so you can leave some out or choose a bigger plan.

I had to stop halfway. Do I start over?

No. Drop the same folder again. Galleries it made are added to, and photos already in are skipped, recognised by name and size. A photo you deleted in between stays deleted.
