On the phone

Feels like an app on a phone.

Most clients open their gallery on a phone. There Shyreo works like the Photos app.

How it works

  1. 01 ▸

    Open the link

Your client taps the link in your email or WhatsApp message, or scans the QR code. The gallery opens in their browser: in Dutch when their phone is set to Dutch, otherwise in English.

  2. 02 ▸

    Look through it

Pinch the gallery for more or fewer photos a row. Tap a photo to open it large, swipe to the next, and pinch or double tap to zoom in.

  3. 03 ▸

    Pick several

Hold a photo until it is picked, then slide over the others without lifting. The bar at the bottom hearts or downloads them all at once; “Done” ends it.

  4. 04 ▸

    Save to the phone

On an iPhone or iPad, “Save to your photos” puts them straight into the Photos app, through the phone's own share menu. Elsewhere it is an ordinary download.

  5. 05 ▸

Keep it on the home screen

The share button in the gallery shows how, on that phone. The gallery then sits among their apps with its cover as the icon, and opens without the browser around it.

What is in it

  • Edge to edge; the next photograph slides along with your finger
  • Pinch for more or fewer photos a row, double tap to zoom in
  • Hold a photograph and slide on without letting go: everything in between is picked, to heart or download at once
  • Swiping down closes the photograph and takes it back to its place
  • On their home screen, with their own photograph as the icon
  • Progressive loading keeps a 500-photo wedding fast, even on a train

Saving to a phone

  • On an iPhone or iPad: one photo, their favorites, their selection or the photos they picked, up to 100 photos or 250 MB at a time
  • More than one photo asks first, so a camera roll does not fill up by accident
  • The whole gallery comes as a ZIP; a large one arrives in parts, each with its own button

Made for a thumb

  • A heart on every photo, no mouse needed; in a tight grid only the hearted photos keep one
  • Stars and colour labels at the bottom of the large photo, where a thumb reaches them
  • Downloading, sharing and comments open in a panel from the bottom of the screen
  • Light or dark, and English or Dutch, at the foot of the gallery

And on your own phone

For you as the photographer: manage your galleries, upload photos straight from your phone and see what your clients picked.

  • The iPhone app: search for Shyreo in the App Store, in the Netherlands, Belgium and everywhere else
  • On Android: put the dashboard on your home screen and it works like an app, notifications included
  • iPhone: open shyreo.com/app in Safari, tap the share button and choose “Add to Home Screen”
  • Android: open shyreo.com/app in Chrome, tap the menu and choose “Install app”

Questions

Does my client need to install an app?

No. The gallery opens in any browser. If they want it among their apps, the share button in the gallery shows how to put it on the home screen.

Where do the photos go on an iPhone?

With “Save to your photos”, into the Photos app, through “Save Image” in the share menu. A ZIP of the whole gallery goes to the Files app, like any download.

Is a large wedding slow on a phone?

No. Only the photos near the screen are loaded, and the large view fetches the next photos ahead.

Can I follow favorites and selections on my own phone?

Yes. Under “Settings”, “Notifications”, press “Turn on” for push notifications on that phone. On an iPhone, open the dashboard from your home screen first: only there can it show notifications.
